Some earlier mobi files might not work 100%. I seem to recall several years ago there was mobi and mobi with Amazon support. If it works on the above mobi file but not other mobi files you have then it has to be due to the size of the mobi file or the header of the mobi file. I'm pretty sure the above will fix it for you. If you're using an email program it could be your ISP is stripping the attachment from being sent, so use the web browser just in case. Mine from sending in Gmail (web browser) to receiving on the device happened in <1 minute. Go to Google Play Store and install the Kindle App once again. Restart the phone and check again if the Developer setting is off. Turn off the Developer setting on the phone settings.
